Meaningful development begins when people have the opportunity, resources and support to shape their own futures.
At ChangePoint Advancement Initiative for Development (C-PAID), our programmes are designed to address some of the challenges affecting individuals, families and communities across Nigeria. We focus on expanding access to education, strengthening economic opportunities, advancing women’s and girls’ empowerment, promoting health and wellbeing, and supporting children and young people to realise their potential.
We recognise that development is not achieved through isolated interventions. Education influences economic opportunity. Health affects wellbeing and productivity. Skills create pathways to independence. Safe, inclusive environments enable children and young people to learn, develop and thrive.
Our flagship programmes reflect this understanding. Each addresses a distinct development priority while contributing to our broader commitment to building stronger, more inclusive and resilient communities.
Our programmes are organised around interconnected areas of development, with interventions designed to respond to the circumstances, aspirations and opportunities of the people we serve.
Creating opportunities for women and girls to develop their capabilities, strengthen their confidence, participate in economic activities and exercise greater agency over their futures.
Supporting access to learning, creativity, personal development, digital knowledge and the skills children need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Promoting digital inclusion, practical entrepreneurship, innovation and access to emerging economic opportunities, particularly for women and underserved populations.
Advancing health literacy, preventive awareness, personal wellbeing and appropriate community-based support to improve quality of life.
Addressing barriers faced by disadvantaged populations while expanding opportunities for skills development, economic participation and community resilience.
Our flagship programmes provide focused pathways for individuals and communities to develop skills, access opportunities, strengthen resilience and move towards more secure and fulfilling futures.
Each programme has a distinct mandate, target audience and development approach.

Building Women. Strengthening Communities.
Women’s Economic Empowerment, Leadership and Holistic Advancement
When women have access to opportunities, resources and supportive environments, their progress can strengthen families, businesses and communities.
BUILDHER is C-PAID’s flagship women’s advancement initiative, designed to support women in building sustainable livelihoods, strengthening their economic independence, developing leadership capabilities and expanding their participation in society.
The programme recognises that women’s advancement requires more than financial assistance. It involves access to practical skills, financial knowledge, mentorship, supportive networks and opportunities for personal development.
BUILDHER is organised into two complementary pathways:
This pathway focuses on entrepreneurship, vocational and business skills, financial inclusion, enterprise development and market opportunities. It seeks to equip women with the knowledge and resources needed to establish, sustain and grow viable income-generating activities.
BUILDHER 360 adopts a broader approach to women’s development by integrating education, health and wellbeing, rights awareness, leadership and economic inclusion. It seeks to address interconnected barriers that limit women’s ability to participate fully in society.

Entrepreneurship, skills development, financial capability, leadership, education, wellbeing and community participation.
Our intended outcome

Programme 02
Women in Digital Entrepreneurship
Digital Skills. Enterprise Innovation. Economic Opportunity.
The digital economy is creating new possibilities for entrepreneurship, employment, innovation and business growth. However, many women still face barriers to accessing the skills, tools and networks needed to participate meaningfully in these opportunities.
WIDE is C-PAID’s specialist digital entrepreneurship initiative, designed to equip women with practical digital competencies and business capabilities that support participation in the technology-enabled economy.
Through digital literacy, entrepreneurship training, mentorship and practical exposure to digital tools, WIDE seeks to help women build the confidence and capabilities required to start, manage and expand businesses using technology.
The programme will focus on the practical application of digital knowledge, ensuring that participants can translate new skills into improved enterprise performance, income opportunities and long-term economic participation.
Programme 03
Healthy Women. Stronger Communities.
Women’s Health, Wellbeing and Resilience
A woman’s ability to thrive is closely connected to her physical, emotional, social and economic wellbeing.
SHE THRIVES is C-PAID’s women’s health and wellbeing initiative, designed to promote access to reliable health information, preventive awareness, personal development and appropriate support systems.
The programme recognises that women’s health and wellbeing can be affected by financial constraints, limited access to services, inadequate information, social expectations and other barriers that influence their quality of life.
Through community-based education, partnerships, awareness activities and appropriate referral pathways, SHE THRIVES seeks to empower women to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing while strengthening their capacity to live healthier and more resilient lives.
Who it serves
Women and adolescent girls, particularly those experiencing barriers to reliable health information, wellbeing resources and appropriate support services.
Our intended outcome
Better-informed women and girls who are empowered to prioritise their wellbeing, access relevant services and make informed health-related decisions.
Who it serves
Boys and girls from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, with activities tailored to different developmental stages.

Programme 04
Every Child. Every Opportunity. Every Future.
Inclusive Child Development, Learning and Future Readiness
Every child possesses unique abilities, interests and potential. With the right encouragement, learning opportunities and supportive environment, children can develop the confidence and capabilities needed to shape their futures.
CHILDFIRST is C-PAID’s inclusive child development programme, created to support the growth, learning, wellbeing and personal development of boys and girls from all backgrounds.
Unlike programmes designed specifically to address social or economic disadvantage, CHILDFIRST is open in principle to children across different socioeconomic backgrounds. It promotes positive childhood experiences, creativity, discovery, learning and skills development.
Through engaging educational activities, mentorship, science and technology exposure, creativity, leadership development and age-appropriate life skills, the programme seeks to nurture children’s abilities and prepare them to navigate a changing world.
Programme 05
Empowering Girls. Unlocking Potential. Shaping Futures.
Adolescent Girls’ Education, Leadership and Empowerment
Adolescence is a defining period in a girl’s development. It is a time of discovery, learning, growing independence and decisions that can influence her future.
Yet, many girls encounter barriers that affect their confidence, educational progress, wellbeing and access to opportunities. These challenges can become particularly significant during the transition from childhood to adulthood.
GIRLS FORWARD is C-PAID’s adolescent girls’ empowerment initiative, designed to help girls develop the knowledge, confidence, skills and support networks needed to pursue their ambitions and make informed choices.
The programme seeks to create supportive environments where girls can explore their interests, strengthen their voices, develop leadership abilities and prepare for future educational, professional and personal opportunities.
Through mentorship, learning opportunities, practical skills and age-appropriate personal development activities, GIRLS FORWARD aims to support a generation of capable young women who can participate confidently in shaping their lives and communities.
Who it serves
Adolescent girls, with a proposed primary focus on ages 10–19, using age-appropriate and safeguarding-led activities.
Our intended outcome
Girls with improved confidence, stronger capabilities, greater awareness of available opportunities and the support needed to pursue their goals.
Who it serves
Street-connected children, out-of-school children and other children experiencing significant socioeconomic disadvantage, exclusion or vulnerability.
Our intended outcome
Children experiencing disadvantage who are better connected to safe support systems, educational opportunities and pathways towards improved wellbeing and long-term inclusion.
Programme 06
Restoring Hope. Creating Pathways. Transforming Futures.
Supporting Disadvantaged and Vulnerable Children
Every child deserves to grow up in an environment that offers safety, care, learning and opportunities for development. Unfortunately, some children face circumstances that make these essential foundations difficult to access.
Poverty, family instability, exclusion from education, unsafe living conditions and other forms of disadvantage can expose children to significant risks and restrict their opportunities.
STREET TO FUTURE is C-PAID’s targeted child protection and social inclusion initiative, designed to support disadvantaged and vulnerable children facing serious barriers to safety, education, development and future opportunities.
The programme seeks to help children reconnect with appropriate support systems, access learning opportunities and develop pathways towards greater stability and inclusion.
Working through community partnerships and qualified service providers, STREET TO FUTURE will prioritise child safety, dignity, education and age-appropriate development. Interventions will be informed by individual circumstances, safeguarding requirements and the best interests of each child.
Our programmes recognise that individuals need different kinds of support at different stages of their lives.
CHILDFIRST provides inclusive opportunities for children to learn, explore and develop their abilities. GIRLS FORWARD responds to the specific needs and aspirations of adolescent girls. STREET TO FUTURE provides targeted interventions for children experiencing significant disadvantage.
BUILDHER supports women’s economic and broader personal advancement, while WIDE focuses on the skills and opportunities associated with digital entrepreneurship. SHE THRIVES addresses women’s health, wellbeing and resilience.
Together, these programmes reflect our commitment to addressing development challenges through interventions that are responsive to people’s circumstances and designed to support meaningful progress.
While each programme maintains its distinct objectives, appropriate referrals and complementary activities may create additional opportunities for beneficiaries.
Our aim is not simply to deliver individual projects, but to help build a connected framework of opportunities that supports people as they learn, grow and develop.
At C-PAID, we believe development programmes should be built around genuine needs, meaningful participation and clearly defined outcomes.
Our approach emphasises five principles.
01
We seek to understand the priorities, experiences and aspirations of the communities we work with, ensuring that programme activities are informed by local realities.
02
We aim to design accessible opportunities that recognise differences in age, gender, socioeconomic circumstances, ability and support needs.
03
We prioritise interventions that build knowledge, strengthen capabilities and create opportunities that can deliver benefits beyond the duration of individual activities.
04
We recognise that strong programmes require collaboration. We seek to work with institutions, professionals, community organisations and partners whose expertise can strengthen implementation and outcomes.
05
We are committed to developing monitoring, evaluation, safeguarding and feedback mechanisms that support responsible delivery, evidence-based learning and transparent reporting.
Sustainable development requires more than good intentions. It requires partnerships that combine resources, expertise, innovation and a shared commitment to measurable results.
C-PAID welcomes collaboration with corporate organisations, philanthropic foundations, development agencies, educational institutions, professional bodies, technology companies, healthcare providers and community-based organisations.
Our flagship programmes provide opportunities for partners to contribute to clearly defined development priorities, from digital entrepreneurship and women’s economic empowerment to child development, education, health and social inclusion.
We seek collaborations founded on shared values, responsible resource management, mutual accountability and sustainable impact.
Behind every development challenge is a person with aspirations, abilities and the potential to move forward.
A child discovering new possibilities through learning.
A girl developing the confidence to pursue her ambitions.
A woman acquiring the skills to build an enterprise.
A vulnerable child gaining access to appropriate support.
These are the kinds of opportunities our programmes seek to create.
Your support can contribute to learning resources, training opportunities, community outreach, specialist partnerships and the practical resources needed to develop and deliver meaningful interventions.
Whether you are an individual, a business, a foundation or an institution, there are opportunities to contribute to our mission.
